Dear little house:
We get your keys on Friday! We can't think about much else other than you becoming a part of our lives. (okay, total lie because at the moment my neck is out and all I can think about is that I can leave at 8:45 so I can be the first patient at my chiropractor.) The plan seems to be to move in and then in 6 months figure out how you can be ours for good. Yes, we'd like to be able to make you part of our family. It might be rough in the checkbook for a bit but, seriously it will be the best possible thing the two of us can do in our boring lives. I promise to eventually make your outsides as pretty as your insides. And we both promise to fill you up with the smells of great foods. And supply plenty of dogs and dog friends to run in your yard. Oh, and we'll use your yard to help keep us fed. Can't wait!!

Almost free gas?

Yesterday I bought gas. It was $3.19 per gallon. This was the cheapest I'd seen it in Seattle and it was at a 76, not something like Arco.
This morning I drove by the same station and it was $2.99. Holy fuck, if I knew you were gonna be practically giving it away... I would have waited a day.
A 20 cent drop over night? I like the drop instead of the increase.

Update Dump

This week:
Made a calorimetry from Knitty. Um, the patter is great but to big and after looking at a few forums there seems to plenty of discrepancies with the one shown in the picture, the one the chick is wearing and the pattern.. I mean I have a huge head and plenty of hair and I had to modify it and ad an extra button. But, I will make another one binding on less stitches to start with. I think this might be something I could use for running and walking in the upcoming cold season.

I found my long lost Pumpkin Ale!!! PCC @ Seward Park doesn't have it, but PCC in Issaquah sure does! Sweet! Anyway, it is made by Buffalo Bill's Brewery in Hayward, CA.

I'm all registered to do the Pumpkin Push 5k! My mom and I are doing are second 5k this month because I think it is a great idea and we are crazies. Um, I don't think we'll be dressing up though.

Martha Stewart's new Holiday is now out in stores. I love buying her holiday magazines to get great ideas, maybe this year I'll actually use some of them. Can I just let anyone know I'm usually pretty retarded about Christmas. Some years not as much as others, but indeed I love it. And this year I'll have a house to decorate! I can have a tree and stuffs.

And on a super really happy notes:
I am no longer in the 210s. I have been really slow at losing weight these past few months but, I've lost something like 27 pounds since April and I'm happy with it. I could do better but I could do worse.

We go on vacation in 21 days. Yes, I'm counting. There is snow on the top of Whistler and Blackcomb! (yeah, not a lot but so what.) Yea bitches! I like snow. Yes, we are 30 and going on a fairly cheap vacation with my folks... and I am quite happy to do so.

We'll be out of our craptastic apartment in a month and a half. Thank god. Any kitchen will be better than the one we currently have. According to the maintenance people there is nothing wrong with our fridge and dishwasher, they are just old. Oh, and how many times can you people try to level our stove and not get it right? Fuck.

WaMu=fail

This is the time on Sprockets where we look at our finances and ask ourselves "what can I do to help myself get ahead..."

Seriously when the banks start failing, you know that happy days aren't here again.. and that they'll be gone for a while... Fuck. 118 years after you started out being a local Seattle bank, you fucked up big time and the government said no more? Jesus, over inflated ego much?

I guess now that I'm 30, I should wake up and pay attention to finances and politics... eew.

Diamonds are forever.

I went to visit my grandma today.

She gave me a pair of diamond earrings. They are earrings she had made about 15 years ago from a diamond ring that had belonged to her aunt. There were 6 stones. She and my aunt had earrings, my mom took her stones and put them into a newer wedding ring. She had her ears pierced at the age of 60 so she could wear diamonds! But, she never really wore them.

Today, I got them.

Thank you grandma, I love you.
You know you've lost a bit of weight when your bathrobe is getting to be to big.
Squeee!

Fall seems to have finally shown up! The nights and mornings are getting cool and crisp.

I do what?

I'm trying to figure out if I'm over pronating... who knew this could be so had to figure out on one's own.
Next week, I'm going to Super Jock N Jill in Greenlake, I hope they can figure me out. I'm so done with blisters and my heels not fitting well in my shoes.
