paradise or home?

On Sunday I told Kevin I wanted us to go to Jamaica. He responded with the whole what would you rather have: a) a house or b) a tropical vacation?
Shit.
As much as I love him, the idea of a vacation is out of his head. He knows that a really amazing decent vacation that we would want would cost about $10k for 3 weeks. $10k would be an okay down payment on a house, not an awesome one but a start. (we are not huge american "chargers."
Way to be the realist in our relationship, sweet pea.
